Jeff Johnston brings more than three decades of real estate expertise to his role as Managing Director at Cathartes. Jeff has been the principal in charge of the award-winning Portwalk Place mixed-use project in downtown Portsmouth. He focuses his time on investment strategy, acquisitions and entitlements. Before joining Cathartes in 1996, Jeff led leasing efforts for the Flatley Company in Southern New Hampshire.

Jeff’s educational background includes a BA from the University of New Hampshire, an MBA from Northeastern University, and an MS in Real Estate Finance & Development from MIT. He has served as a Student Project Advisor at MIT, assisted in the development of a real estate minor at UNH and serves on a ULI Product Council. Jeff has participated in several charity events including the Boston Marathon for Dana-Farber, the Pan-Mass Challenge and Chef’s Cycle for The No Kid Hungry Campaign. He is a recipient of the Life Saving Award from the Humane Society of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and currently serves on the Board of the Portsmouth Music Hall.
